1) Heidi JUST BOOKED a role as the female lead in a feature film, but she is under an NDA agreement to not release any info. about it yet. The project will be shooting in October in Michigan, but that’s all we can say at this present time. But it’s a very cool storyline for this one! 2) JAN. 2021 - Heidi is in Pre-production for her TV show called, “Read To Me, Heidi”, where Heidi & her side-kick Millicent the mouse puppet, do LIVE-TIME reading & acting all the VO’s for all of the characters in the fairytales & children’s stories that they read. 3) MARCH 2021: The ROKU Channel releases the TV show Heidi is a part of, “CYPHER”, and is streaming their exclusive Premiere this month! It’s the 1st ever-exclusive original series on ROKU!
4) MAY 2021: Heidi is NOM. as a SEMI-FINALIST for “Best Actress in a Short” by the Hong Kong Indie Film Festival. The screenings had started up again this year with regards to Heidi’s musical short film, “Millicent & Me and The Apple Tree”, after being paused due to COVID, where many in-person film festivals were postponed. So, this is FAB news!
5) JULY 2021: Heidi is NOM. as a SEMI-FINALIST for “Best Actress in Short” & “Best Comedy Short” by Niagara Falls International Short Festival, for her musical short film, “Millicent & Me and The Apple Tree”.
6) JULY 2021: Heidi shoots a part in a comedic/dramedy feature film, now in many festivals, called “HER & HIM”. She plays a character in an awkward situation, which adds to the dynamic energy & situation between the 2 lead characters of the film. (Trying not to give away the plot here…) The film has a brilliant cast who are also the writers, my friends Susan O’Connor & Christopher Frederick! This also was wonderfully directed by Eric Michael Kochmer.
7) AUGUST 2021: Heidi shoots another comedic character, but this time as a manic, Swedish character, Ursula in the film, “NO RESERVATIONS”, written by the team Flip Kobler & Cindy Marcus, & great direction by Steven LaMorte!
6) AUGUST 2021: Heidi is NOM. as a FINALIST for “Best Actress in Short” & “Best Comedy in Short” by the Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT, for her musical short film, “Millicent & Me and The Apple Tree”.
7) MAY & AUGUST 2021 - Heidi is continuing from last year to be a part of the 19-person cast that has been LIVE TV Streaming the Tom Cavanaugh suspense thriller called “Now, Now, Now” during this Covid time. It has won over 4 awards to date and counting, in several Fringe Festivals Nationwide, utilizing the Zoom format to tell a compelling story with Orson Welles overtones a la “The War of the Worlds”. It next will be seen as part of the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival, starting in August.
8) OCT. 2021: Heidi goes to Flint, Michigan to shoot the supernatural feature film, “HALF DEAD FRED”, written/dir. by Bron Theron, where Heidi played the female lead of Roberta Dalton. She plays opposite Corin Nemec, Jason London, & Jordan C. Michael. This film has an awesome cast, & a super fantastic crew! It’s a suspenseful, ghost story; a film-noir murder mystery that has FAB actor Corin Nemec as the brilliant detective, (Fred Nash), brought in on the case, initially hired by Roberta to solve the case. - And.. Fred’s area of expertise is: seeing & talking to spirits!
9) OCT. 2021: Heidi’s musical short film, “Millicent & Me and The Apple Tree”, becomes an Official Selection in the Paris Independent Film Festival to show in mid-October in France!
10) NOV. 2021: Heidi’s musical short film, “Millicent & Me and The Apple Tree”, is NOM. as a SEMI-FINALIST for “ Best Narrative International Short” by the London International Filmmakers Festival!
11) AT THE 2021 WE MAKE MOVIE INT’L FILM FESTIVAL: HEIDI IS INVOLVED WITH 5 PROJECTS THERE!:
A) WMMIFF Screened the powerful short film, “BEAUTY’S JOURNEY: HER VOYAGE WITHIN”, directed by amazing director, Shila Ommi! This piece was originally commissioned by the L.A. County of the Dept. of Mental Health. Heidi helped as part of the Production team to bring this new shorter version of Shila’s vision to the screen!
B) WMMIFF Screened the short comedic film, “NO RESERVATIONS”, where Heidi played a hilarious, manic Swedish character! Since she does VO, this was a FUN one to do! Written by the team Flip Kobler & Cindy Marcus, & directed by fab director, Steven LaMorte.
C) WMMIFF Screened “HER & HIM” - a HIlarious film, with terrific characters! Heidi played a super Funny character in this! It looked FAB up on the screen, and the audience loved it! Written by lead actors Susan O’Connor & Christopher Frederick, & directed by great director, Eric Michael Kochmer.
D) WMMIFF Screened the Webs series Heidi “Scripty-ed” on, “EX-SISTERS-IN-LAW” - Terrific episodes were selected- loved by all! Hilariously written by lead actors Allison Youngberg & Suzan Miliel, & also directed by Suzan.
E) WMMIFF Screened the wonderful feature film, Heidi “Scripty-ed” on in 2019, “SMOKE, LILLIES & JADE”. This is a beautiful film, and it has WON awards for the story, of how the 2 main characters come together in a love relationship, against all odds. Written by Robert Philipson & Co-Directed by the Emmy award-winning team Deondray Gossfield & Quincy LeNear Gossfield!
12) 2021: Heidi shot several characters for the sketch show “The Groad Show”, a zoom-inspired comedic tale of the devil on Earth helping one man with his relationships, written/dir. by Stephen Kogon.
